essextec Expertise
Server virtualization is the proven way to maximize the return on your IT infrastructure investments by consolidating workloads from many underutilized servers onto fewer, larger systems. As a result of this consolidation effort, significant operational benefi ts and cost savings are achieved. PowerVM and VMware are two technologies that deliver industry-leading virtualization on IBM POWER processor-based systems and x86-based servers/blades. IBM Power Systems servers and x86 servers coupled with PowerVM and VMware technologies are designed to help you consolidate and simplify your IT environment. Key capabilities include:
- Improved server utilization and sharing I/O resources to reduce total cost of ownership
- Improved business responsiveness and operational speed by dynamically re-allocating resources to applications as needed — to better match changing business cycles or handle unexpected surge in demand
- Simplified IT infrastructure management by making workloads independent of hardware resources, thereby enabling clients to make business-driven policies to deliver resources based on time, cost and service-level requirements
- Rapidly deployed new servers
- Dramatically improved business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities You can employ virtualization in many ways to achieve improvements in effi ciency and flexibility. Please let our certifi ed virtualization experts meet with you to review your environment and assist your virtualization needs.
