IXA/IXS Windows Environment

Clients can choose between the IBM IXS and IXA to create a Windows environment on their iSeries servers. The IBM Integrated xSeries Server (IXS) is a pc server processor with memory 'transplanted' into the frame of an iSeries. The IBM Integrated xSeries Adapter (IXA) is a high-speed link bus adapter plugged into a supported xSeries server. The xSeries server appears as a high-speed link attached expansion unit to the iSeries server. Our IBM-certified system engineers not only provide installation services, but can consult with clients to help them choose which method is more appropriate.
