IBM iSeries Performance Navigator

With ever-shorter system life cycles and the explosion of on-demand solutions, LPARs and CoD, timely planning of upgrades and their budgets has become critical. Performance Navigator addresses that need by automating performance management, problem determination, and capacity planning. It displays graphs of key system metrics such as CPU, memory and DASD utilization, average response time, transactions, jobs, and pages spooled. Years worth of data can be analyzed and drilled up or down in period views of months, weeks, days, or time of day. Trend lines can be calculated, "what if" questions addressed, and user-selected data points can be ignored in individual charts.
