"Security 'For and From' the Cloud"
Webcast
Presented by Kevin Skapinetz - IBM Global Portfolio Strategist -
Managed Security Services
To fully benefit from cloud computing, you must ensure that your data, applications and systems are properly secured so that your cloud infrastructure won't expose your organization to risk. Cloud computing has the usual requirements of traditional IT security, though it presents an added level of risk because of the "externalized" aspects of a cloud model. This can make it more difficult to maintain data integrity and privacy, support data and service availability, and demonstrate compliance.
Cloud computing security from IBM
IBM offers end-to-end solutions that enable you to take a business-driven and holistic approach to securing your cloud computing environment. IBM's capabilities empower you to dynamically monitor and quantify security risks, enabling you to better:
- understand threats and vulnerabilities in terms of business impact
- respond to security events with security controls that optimize business results
- prioritize and balance your security investments
